Pastor Steve is the son of German immigrants and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut, a suburb of New York City. Caren and I spent most of our professional years in Hamburg, New Jersey: 36 years at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Post seminary, I pastored Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fisher, Illinois. In NJ, I worked with the LWML, was secretary for the New Jersey District Board of Directors, and served a term as Circuit Visitor. 

Marsha is the Holy Lamb Lutheran Church Office Secretary.

She and her husband, John, owned and operated a real estate company for over 25 years in Bristol, CT. In 2010, they became live-in managers at an independent retirement community helping seniors.  They became trainers for the same company, travelling all over the U.S.

They retired to Myrtle Beach in 2014.

Marsha enjoys the beach, reading and spending time with friends.
