or saints in stained glass – but you.
God has placed you in your family, your workplace, your neighborhood, and this church for
a reason. The Spirit who called you in baptism continues to shape and guide your life, sanctifying you day by day.
The Time of Pentecost, Time of Growth
Since the 1940s the liturgical calendar of our church has been updated as well. When yours truly began his ministry, Sundays in the festival half of the church year all had Latin names derived from the appointed Psalm for that day. These have fallen by the wayside. Now, Judica is known as the Fifth Sunday in Lent; Palmarum long known by its popular name, Palm Sunday, is now officially known by that name.
