You have a divine purpose. Not just “church people” or pastors
or saints in stained glass – but you.
God has placed you in your family, your workplace, your neighborhood, and this church for
a reason. The Spirit who called you in baptism continues to shape and guide your life, sanctifying you day by day.
The word ‘thanksgiving’ is used 105 times in Scripture, not including the word ‘thanks’ in all its other forms. In 1st Thessalonians Paul writes, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.” All the more reason to join in worship – to make time to remember and identify the many blessings we take for granted or simply overlook in trying times.
