Care Team
The Care Team serves under the leadership of the Pastor to provide spiritual and practical care
for members of the congregation.
The team works as a unified body, meeting monthly to review needs,
coordinate care, and hold one another accountable.
Primary Responsibilities
PRAYER
Regularily pray for the members of the congregtion, their families, and the mission of the church.
When visiting members, offer prayer with them for comfort, healing, thanksgiving, or encouragement.
SACRAMENTAL CARE
Support the Pastor in ensuring that members - especially the homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise absent,
have access to the Word and Sacraments.
ENCOURAGEMENT AND FELLOWSHIP
Write cards, make phone calls, or visit members to offer encouragement during illness, grief, or times of personal struggle.
Celebrate milestones such as baptisms, confirmations, anniversaries, and birthdays, as opportunities to build up the body of Christ.
VISITATION
Visit the sick, homebound, grieving, and those that have been absent from worship for extended periods.
Who can join?
Commited member of the congregation in good standing.
Demonstrates a heart for serving others in the love of Christ.
Respected for integrity, compassion, and discretion.
Willing to be trained in visitation and congregational care practices.
Able to work collaboratively and be accountable to the Pastor and fellow team members.
